Sophie is a very talented bird dog - a
really graceful, smooth running dog with athleticism and stamina to spare. Hunting is
effortless for her as she just naturally goes to the right places
when looking for birds, and she points them intensely. She has a fantastic personality and affection
for everyone she meets. When she was temperament-tested at 7
weeks, the tester came out and said "This is a NICE puppy. You can
do anything you want with her. She will live large and enjoy every
minute of it." True!
Sophie went to her first field trial stake and won it, in tough GSP-club horseback competition. She is a natural retriever; has multiple field placements, including winning the American Pointer Club 2013 Field Trial Open Gun Dog stake; is field and show-pointed; and is a group-placing IABCA International CH. as well. She is a perfectly well-mannered, sweet and affectionate girl at home. She also has an excellent front, a proper lashing tail on the move, and feet as desired by Arkwright.
