Nobel was a top performance dog - in and out of the field. He was both a Norwegian & Swedish Champion, a group winner, and Pointer specialty show winner.
He was one of the top four Gun Dogs in Norway thru July 2007 (owner trained). He also won the Salten Derby and was a finalist and Honor Prize winner for exceptional work in the Swedish National Championships.
Nobel attained "Elite" status just before he turned 2 1/2 years old, and was not only an "Elite" dog with the Norwegian Pointer Club, both of his parents and five (!) littermates were as well. To attain "Elite" status, a dog must have a first place show win, a first place field win, and good hips. Every single dog in his 3-generation pedigree has a hip grade of "A" - similar to our "OFA Excellent."
Nobel's pedigree strongly ties in with Ava's, going back to some of the wonderful lines behind her and also back to a littermate of the sire of the first Dual Champion here in the US.
Ava is extremely fast and extremely talented in the field. She has been very easy to work with and has natural drive and hunting intensity to spare. She taught herself how to point and back at the level of a nearly-finished hunting dog while I was recuperating from major surgery. She is a natural retriever as well.
She has an outstanding
personality, is pretty to look at, and, like all her relatives, she
is a wonderful, affectionate house dog and family
member. We think her pedigree speaks for itself.
A note about us: Our
breeding program is very limited and undertaken only after extensive
thought and research, and then only with an eye to producing trainable,
intelligent, working gun
dogs that look like a Pointer ought to. We have proven
field accomplishments in every litter we've had,
certify hips, and aim for dogs with show quality looks and loving,
easy-to-live-with temperaments suitable for any family.
